Can I use the ARIES MINI without Lightning DS?

We strongly recommend using the Lightning DS iOS app to control operation of your ARIES MINI. Without Lightning DS several features of the MINI such as Internet Radio, streaming services, Songcast and AirPlay are not accessible, and Lightning DS is required for initial setup of the ARIES MINI. 

The ARIES MINI is compatible with other UPnP/OpenHome control software for basic playback control however, including Kinsky, Kazoo, and BubleUPnP.
