Choose a Good WiFi Router

A solid network is the backbone of a streaming system. It is extremely important to have the right networking gear to ensure stable performance and the best sound quality from Lightning devices.

Our testing has identified several routers that generally work well with our products. We cannot guarantee that Lightning devices will work with the home router that comes from your network service provider. A UPnP streaming system requires a much higher home networking standard than many other household uses. 

Modem/Routers from internet service providers may work but will may cause reliability problems regardless of download speed.  

Recommended Router Models (inexpensive but will work perfectly) :

• Netgear Nighthawk AC1900
• Netgear Nighthawk AC1750
• ASUS RT-AC68U
• Linksys EA6900 AC1900

Attention: Some network extenders and technologies may not work properly with AURALiC streaming devices. In particular problems have been reported when using the following:

• All Apple Network devices including Airpot Extreme, Time Capsule and etc.
• Any PowerLine Ethernet (HomePlug) devices
• Netgear EX6200 (wifi range extender)
